Frequently Asked Questions:

How old a does a child have to be to take the CPR/First Aid course?

The American Red Cross doesn't have an exact age minimum for classes, but there are some policies in place regarding age. Anyone younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult when taking a class. The age limit is based on the child's ability to sit through a class and comprehend the materials. In order for anyone to be certified, no matter their age, they have to pass a written test and pass the skills test.
